She graduated in Chemistry from UNESP (2008), holds a Master's (2010) and a Ph.D. (2014) in Inorganic and Analytical Chemistry from USP-São Carlos. She completed a Postdoctoral in Biochemistry at USP-São Paulo (2017) and a Postdoctoral in Bioinorganic Chemistry at the University of California, Santa Barbara (2018).She was the winner of the Women in Science Program, promoted by L'Oréal Brazil in partnership with UNESCO in Brazil and the Brazilian Academy of Sciences (ABC) in the Chemical Sciences category in 2020.She is currently a Professor in the Department of Biochemistry at the University of São Paulo (IQ-USP), where she works in the field of bioinorganic chemistry, with an emphasis on redox processes promoted by nitric oxide and the reactivity of iron nitrosyl complexes.
