Michele Fernandes Gonçalves

I am a professor at the Department of Specialized Studies in Education (EED) of the Universidade Federal de Santa Catarina (UFSC). My research field encompass the intersection between Education, Communication, Science, Art, and Philosophy. Im also editor ofthe Maganize ClimaCom Cultura Científica pesquisa, jornalismo e arte ; reviewer and Spanish/English/Portuguese translator of academic and scientific texts; and companion of writing processes of articles, masters and doctoral projects, anddissertations and theses. I am a PhD in Education by the Universidade Federal de Santa Catarina - UFSC (2021), under the guidance of Prof. Dr. Leandro Belinaso Guimarães and with CAPES funding for social demand. I was a fellow of CAPES doctoral internship PDSE Program - Programa de Doutorado Sanduíche no Exterior (Sandwich Doctorate) at the Universidade Nacional de Avellaneda - UNDAV (Argentina), under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Adrián Cangi. My doctoral research dealt with the writing as an experience, thinking the walking as an extensive-intensive process that delineates the writing of the body in the world. I am graduated in Biological Sciences by the Universidade Estadual Paulista Júlio de Mesquita Filho - UNESP, Campus of Rio Claro (2010), postgraduate (Latu Sensu Specialization) in Scientific Journalism by the Laboratório de Estudos Avançados em Jornalismo (Labjor) at the Universidade Estadual de Campinas (2012) and Master in Sustainability in Environmental Management by the Universidade Federal de São Carlos - UFSCar, Campus Sorocaba (2016). I am a researcher associated on Grupo MultiTÃO - experimentações, limites, disjunções, artes, ciências - at Labjor/UNICAMP; on Coletivo TECENDO - cultura, arte e educação - at UFSC; and on Núcleo de Estudos e Pesquisas em Educação e Sociedade Contemporânea, also at UFSC. I also was a fellow of: CNPq, linked to the Rede Brasileira de Pesquisas em Mudanças Climáticas RedeClima and working with the Sub-Network Divulgação Científica e Mudanças Climáticas and with the ClimaCom Cultura Científica (2015/2016); FAPESP, (José Reis Program to encourage Science Journalism), working as a journalist for the electronic science journal ComCiência (2014); PIBID (Interdisciplinary Teaching Initiation Program) - CNpq -, working with transversal themes related to Biology, Environment and Society (2010); Santander, through the Santander Universities Programme, carrying out an exchange program at the University of Algarve, Portugal (2009); FAPESP, of Scientific Initiation, by the Herpetology Laboratory of Unesp Rio Claro, developing research in the areas of biogeography and evolution of anuran amphibians (2007/2008); and PROEX, of University Extension, working with Brazilian popular culture (2006). I worked as a Biology teacher in public and private Basic Education (2012), as an English language teacher (with Cambridge CELTA certification) on language schools, and as a researcher in cetacean conservation, at the Atlantis Project - IO/ USP - (2005).
