Pharmacist and biochemist with a Masters degree in Cellular and Molecular Endocrinology from the School of Medicine of the University of São Paulo (FMUSP) and a Ph.D. in Biotechnology from the Federal University of São Paulo (UNIFESP). Developed research focused on thyroid genetics and molecular biology, with emphasis on the identification of genetic alterations associated with congenital hypothyroidism due to thyroid dysgenesis, using next-generation sequencing techniques. Has teaching experience in Human Genetics and training in molecular biology laboratory practices, as well as participation in university extension projects related to neonatal screening and health education. Works in the areas of human and medical genetics, molecular biology, endocrinology, and molecular biotechnology, with an interest in translational research and in training health professionals by integrating basic science and clinical practice.
