Graduated in Biological Sciences at the State University of Campinas (UNICAMP), PhD in Functional and Molecular Biology at UNICAMP with an internship at MD Anderson Cancer Center (Houston, USA) and postdoctoral fellow in Developmental Biology and Genome Editing at LNBio/ CNPEM. She is currently a Lead Researcher at the Brazilian Biosciences National Laboratory (LNBio/CNPEM), coordinating the Genetically Modified Systems Group (SGM), the Genome Editing Laboratory (LEG) and the Animal Management and Experimentation Laboratory (LMEA). She works on Genome Editing (CRISPR/Cas9, Base Editing, Prime Editing technologies) applied to the study of molecular mechanisms of human diseases and production of new advanced therapies (gene therapy) for the treatment of human diseases. She has experience in Molecular and Cellular Biology, Genetics, Biochemistry, Genome Editing in animal and cellular models, and gene therapy. (Source: Lattes Curriculum)
