Professor at the Zoology Department, University of Brasilia. Biologist from University of São Paulo (USP), campus Ribeirão Preto, Brazil. Master in Comparative Biology, Zoology, from Graduation program in Comparative Biology (FFCLRP- USP). Ph.D. in Animal Taxonomy, Systematics and Biodiversity at Zoology Museum of USP, with one year as visitor researcher at National Museum of Natural History- Smithsonian Institution (Washington, DC, EUA). Postdoctoral fellow at Vertebrates'Comparative Anatomy Laboratory, Biological Sciences Institute, University of Brasília. Member of the Brazilian Society of Ichthyology Board of Directors 2019-2022. Have experience in Zoology, emphasis in Recent groups Taxonomy. Work with Heptapteridae, especially Brachyrhamdia and Pimelodella genera, developing studies concerning their anatomy, taxonomy, systematics, biogeography and macroevolution using phylogenetic integrative and comparative methodologies. Have interest in: comparative anatomy, comparative phylogenetic methods, taxonomy, systematics, biogeography. Part of the research group on Anatomy and Macroevolution of Vertebrates, from CNPq.
