Universidade de São Paulo (USP). Instituto de Física (IF)  (Institutional affiliation from the last research proposal)
Birthplace: Brazil

He has a Bachelor in Physics from the University of Campinas (IFGW-UNICAMP) and obtained a master's and doctorate degree in Physics at the University of São Paulo (IFUSP). As a doctor, he was an interim professor at IFUSP during the second half of 2018, when he was a lecturer in the undergraduate course in Physics. After a post-doctoral period at IFUSP (2019-2021), he started a postdoc at the KULeuven (2021-current), and is currently a Marie Curie postdoctoral fellow at that institution. As a researcher, he works in the development of nanostructured materials for to tackle societal challenges like energy harvesting and environmental remediation. He focuses his efforts on understanding the basic properties of nanostructured materials, using physicochemical characterization techniques to obtain information on a molecular scale in order to explain and manipulate the properties of materials that are perceived and experienced on a macroscopic scale. For this aim, he uses a wide range of techniques for the characterization of materials, having dedicated a important part of his time to the theoretical and practical understanding of these techniques. He is a user of characterization techniques involving synchrotron radiation. He has undertaken training in scientific writing, having a successful record-track in approving research projects. He has also conducted formal training on leading a research group and mentoring students. (Source: Lattes Curriculum)
