She received her PhD in Physics from the Federal University of São Carlos (UFSCar), after internship at the University of Nottingham (UK). Postdoctoral studies were performed at the Sao Carlos Institute of Physics at the University of Paulo in Brazil (USP) and Columbia University (New York, US). She is currently an Adjunct Professor at the Federal University of Santa Catarina's Blumenau campus, where she coordinates the Optoelectronic Nanostructures Group. She has expertise in the following techniques: magneto-photoluminescence spectroscopy (continuous and time-resolved), magneto-transport, photoluminescence spectroscopy, UV-Vis and Raman absorbance. She is currently conducting research on carbon quantum dots, self-organized systems, and nanocomposites. (Source: Lattes Curriculum)
