Masters Program in Sciences (Physics) funded by National Research Council for 2 years at the Institute of Physics, University of Sao Paulo, Sao Paulo, Brazil, under the supervision of Prof. Rosangela Itri. Investigate the membrane protein Na,K-ATPase activity through biostimulation by using three low-intensity lasers with wavelengths (green, red and infrared) to understand how the bioestimulation of Na,K-ATPase depends on the wavelength, dose deposited and the importance of the microenvironment where the enzyme is associated: membrane fraction or reconstituted in DPPC:DPPE liposome. Moreover, three different enzyme preparations and studies about the oligomeric state of Na,K-ATPase were performed. International Collaboration funded by Santander International Mobility Grants for 6 months in the Soft Matter and Molecular Biophysics Group at the University of Santiago de Compostela, Santiago de Compostela, Spain. Studies about interaction between the protein bovine serum albumine with surfactants trying to suggest mechanism in the fibrillation pathway of beta-sheet structures (amyloids) under the supervision of Prof. Juan M. Ruso. Collaboration in the Laboratory of Applied Nanotechnology, Department of Chemistry, FFCLRP, University of Sao Paulo, Ribeirao Preto, Sao Paulo, Brazil. Studies about the membrane protein Na,K-ATPase solubilization and preparation methods, enzyme activity, concentration and oligomeric state under the supervision of Prof. Pietro Ciancaglini. Experience in Small-Angle X-Ray Scattering (SAXS) performed at the Brazilian National Laboratory of Synchrotron Light which is operated by the Brazilian Center of Research in Energy and Materials, sponsored by National Research Council and the Ministry of Science and Technology of Brazil. Experience in a broad range of advanced experimental techniques: circular dichroism, dynamic light scattering, fluorescence spectroscopy, isothermal tritation microcalorimetry, SAXS, transmission electron microscopy, UV-vis spectroscopy. Scientific Initiation funded by Foundation for Research Support of Sao Paulo for one year at the Institute for Energy and Nuclear Research in Center for Lasers and Applications, Sao Paulo, Sao Paulo, Brazil, under the supervision of Prof. Niklaus Ursus Wetter. The project was Characterization of Glasses and Crystals Doped with Rare-Earth and Metal Nanoparticles where it was held spectroscopy techniques. (Source: Lattes Curriculum)
