Alessandra Geremias is a Social Worker with a Ph.D. in Social Psychology from the Federal University of Paraíba (UFPB, 2025), a Masters degree in Public Health from the University of Campinas (UNICAMP, 2020), and a Bachelors degree in Social Work from the São Paulo State University (UNESP, 2010). She currently serves as a board member of the Regional Council of Social Work CRESS/PB, 13th Region (terms 20202023 and 20232026). Her research focuses on the relationship between mental health and work, considering the intersections of race, class, gender, and sexuality. She has experience in the Health Policy field, working in Mental Health services, and in the Education Policy field, having served as a substitute professor in the Social Work program at the Federal University of Campina Grande. She is a member of the Research Group on Subjectivity and Work (GPST/UFPB); the Study Group on Social Reproduction Theory and Decoloniality (UFPB); and Améfricas: Study and Research Group on Coloniality, Racism, and Capitalism (UFPB).
