Flávia Feitosa holds a degree in Architecture and Urbanism from the Federal University of Santa Catarina (2002) and a Master's degree in Remote Sensing from the National Institute for Space Research (2005). She conducted her doctoral research at the Center for Development Research (ZEF) and earned a Ph.D. in Geography from the Rheinische Friedrich-Wilhelms-Universität Bonn (Germany) in 2010. Since 2013, she has been a professor at the Federal University of ABC (UFABC), teaching in the Graduate Program in Planning and Territorial Management, the undergraduate programs in Territorial Planning and Management (PGT) and Science and Humanities (BCH), as well as in the International Joint Master of Science SPRING Regional Development Planning and Management (a joint degree with TU Dortmund University). She is currently the Innovation Coordinator at the Center for Favela Studies (CEFAVELA).Her research has contributed to advancing the analysis of patterns and dynamics of socio-economic inequalities in urban space, aiming to deepen the understanding of phenomena such as segregation, vulnerability, and housing needs. She specializes in developing innovative methodologies that push the boundaries of spatial analysis techniques for urban studies (urban analytics), integrating interdisciplinary academic knowledge with the practical experience of planning. In recent years, her work has focused on creating new analytical frameworks for a systemic and multidimensional understanding of Brazils housing situation. (Source: Lattes Curriculum)
