Tenured professor (RDIDP) at the University of São Paulo (USP), working in the Department of Biological Sciences at the Luiz de Queiroz College of Agriculture (ESALQ/USP), in the areas of plant systematics, forest restoration, and botany education. Biologist graduated from the Federal University of São Carlos (UFSCar), with a Master's and Ph.D. in Plant Biology from the State University of Campinas (UNICAMP), and a specialization in Science Teaching from the University of Western São Paulo (UNOESTE). I am a member of the Curatorial Board of the herbarium at the Luiz de Queiroz College of Agriculture (ESA Herbarium) and was elected as a full member of the Coordination Committee for the Biological Sciences degree program, as well as an alternate member of the Council of the Department of Biological Sciences. I advise graduate students through the Interunit Graduate Program in Applied Ecology (PPGI-EA). As a taxonomist, I am responsible for the Phyllanthaceae family in the Flora and Fungi of Brazil Project, coordinated by the Rio de Janeiro Botanical Garden (JBRJ), and I am the author of five plant species and one section for the Brazilian flora. Among the awards and distinctions throughout my career, I highlight my doctoral thesis, which was awarded as the best Plant Biology thesis defended in 2022 within the Graduate Program in Plant Biology at UNICAMP and received Academic Merit among theses defended in the Biological and Health Sciences area. In 2022, I published a new species of Phyllanthus that was awarded Academic Highlight of the Year in the Biodiversity field by the Institute of Biology at UNICAMP. At the end of 2023, I was recognized as an outstanding alumna of the graduate program at the Institute of Biology at UNICAMP. I am registered with the Regional Council of Biology (CRBIO 01 100705/01), and a member of the Botanical Society of Brazil (2014present), the American Society for Plant Taxonomists (ASPT) (2020present), and the Research School for Biosystematics FORBio (Norwegian University of Science and Technology) (2021present).
