Pedro Henrique Mainardi

Biologist with a full Licentiate degree from FEIS at UNESP in Ilha Solteira (2013), Masters (2015) and Ph.D. (2021) in Biological Sciences (Applied Microbiology) from IB at UNESP in Rio Claro. Completed a postdoctoral fellowship in Applied Microbiology at the same institute (2024), funded by a PDJ scholarship from CNPq. Conducted research projects funded by FAPESP (undergraduate and master's), CAPES (Ph.D.), and CNPq (postdoctoral). Author of over 15 scientific articles published in national and international journals, with more than 370 accumulated citations, in addition to participation in various scientific events. His research lines involve Industrial Microbiology and Fermentation, Bioprocesses, Water, Wastewater and Waste Treatment, and Microbial Biodiversity. He has experience in the prospecting of microbial strains and enzymes, bioprocess operations, ecotoxicology, microbial molecular genetics, and statistical experimental design. Served as a lecturer in General and Inorganic Chemistry at the IB at UNESP (2020) and as a contract teacher of Natural Sciences for SEDUC-SP (2022). He is currently conducting research on the diversity and structure of microbial communities applied to water resource monitoring and management at IB at UNESP in Rio Claro and works as a tenured Natural Sciences teacher at the Municipal Department of Education of São Paulo (SME-SP).
