He holds a degree in Chemistry from the Federal University of Paraíba (1995), a Masters in Chemistry from the Center for Exact and Natural Sciences - Campus I - João Pessoa - PB (1997), PhD in Chemistry from the Federal University of São Carlos -Doctored by the Federal University of São Carlos (2004). He is currently Prof. Dr. - UNESP-Faculty of Sciences - Baur Campus - Department of Chemistry. He has experience in Chemistry, with emphasis in Materials Chemistry, working mainly on the following topics: chemical synthesis of polymer precursors, hydrothermal synthesis, hydrothermal synthesis assisted by microwave to obtain nanostructured oxides. Ferroelectric properties of thin films, application of piezoresponse microscopy (PFM) for nanoscale study of ferroelectric thin films. Photoluminescent properties. Study and application of nanostructured oxides (TiO2, ZrO2, WO3, WO3-Ag, WO3-Metal, MoO3 etc) for photocatalysis, application as adsorbent and antibactericidal activity. (Source: Lattes Curriculum)
