Dr. Antonio Chaves de Assis Neto holds a degree in Veterinary Medicine from the Federal University of Piauí (UFPI) and obtained both his Masters and Doctoral degrees in Anatomy of Domestic and Wild Animals from the University of São Paulo (USP). He completed a postdoctoral fellowship at the University of California, Davis, Department of Reproduction and Population Health, in December 2007. He is currently a Tenured Associate Professor (Professor Associado III) at the University of São Paulo, having obtained the academic title of Livre-Docente (Habilitation) in September 2012.Dr. Assis Neto presently serves as Coordinator of the Graduate Program in Anatomy of Domestic and Wild Animals at the School of Veterinary Medicine and Animal Science (FMVZ/USP), a program awarded the highest rating (CAPES score 7) by the Brazilian Federal Agency for Support and Evaluation of Graduate Education. He is also the Vice-Chair of the Undergraduate Program Committee at FMVZ/USP and Coordinator of the Integrated Laboratory for Skills and Simulation in Veterinary Medicine (LHIS).He is an accredited advisor for both Masters and Doctoral levels in the Graduate Programs in Anatomy of Domestic and Wild Animals and Veterinary Surgical Clinic. He acts as an ad hoc reviewer for major Brazilian funding agencies, including FAPESP, CNPq, and CAPES, and is a peer reviewer for several national and international scientific journals.His academic expertise lies in the field of Veterinary Medicine, with emphasis on Anatomy, Reproductive and Developmental Biology, and on the development and validation of three-dimensional anatomical models for educational purposes. His primary research interests include reproductive steroidogenesis, morphophysiology of reproductive processes, and the implementation of innovative, technology-enhanced teaching strategies in veterinary anatomical sciences.ORCID iD: https://orcid.org/0000-0002-6260-661X (Source: Lattes Curriculum)
