Abstract

Galea spixii (preá) is a small rodent that lives in the vegetation of the Caatinga at Northeast of Brazil. This species has been bred in captivity due to its importance as a source of alternative food in some regions of Brazil. In recent years, the cavies have been Used in several researches main that related to their reproductive biology and its embryonic development . The present study aims at establishing the patterns of morphologicy and Morphometry of the pronephro, mesanephro and metanephro and the formation of fenestrated capillaries and VEGF participation in this process, along the development of the mesonephro and kidneys (Metanephro) of cavies throughout pregnancy. For this research will be analyzed the pronephro, Mesanephro and metanephro of concepts from 30 pregnant females at 15, 20, 25, 30, 40 and >48 days of gestation. The pattern of morphological development, Morphometric and cellular and tissue and cellular adjustments during glomerular formation and the fenestrated capillaries, using light microscopy and transmission electronic will be used.Molecular mechanisms will also be demonstrated through immunolocalization of VEGF in the glomerular capillaries. Conceptus at 25, 30, 40 e >48 days of gestation were collected.
