Abraham Chian-Long Chian

Senior research scientist approved by CNPq in 2016. Received BSc with Distinction in Electrical Engineering and Space Science from Cornell University, PhD in Applied Mathematics and Theoretical Physics from the University of Cambridge, and PhD in Economics from the University of Adelaide. Professor of graduate program of physics at the Institute for Aeronautical Technology (ITA) and emeritus senior scientist at the National Institute for Space Research (INPE) . Working in nonlinear dynamics and complex systems with application to plasma physics, space physics, astrophysics, geophysics, economic dynamics, and biomedical engineerting. Recipient of a Guggenheim Fellowship from USA in 2010, a Marie Curie International Incoming Fellowship from European Commission in 2011, a Fulbright Fellowship from CAPES-Fulbright Commission in 2015, and Special Visiting Professor (PVE-CAPES) of the Institute for Aeronautical Technology (ITA) in 2015-2018.
