graduated in Civil Engineering from the Educational Foundation of Barretos (1980), Master of Architecture and Urban Planning from the University of São Paulo (1988) and Ph.D. in Civil Engineering from the University of São Paulo (1993) and post-doctoral work at UF - University of Florida - U.S. (1997 - 1999). He is currently Professor of the Universidade Estadual Paulista Julio de Mesquita Filho. Develops work in the field of Agricultural Engineering, with emphasis on the following topics: Storage of agricultural products, rural buildings, zootechnics buildings, ambiance husbandry, ferrocement, digesters and wastewater. This project will focus on the swelling behavior of grain as its moisture content increases. A theoretical model of grain behavior will be developed and required physical properties will be measured.
