Post-doctoral degree in the Department of Psychiatry, University of Sao Paulo (USP), Brazil, with finantial support of FAPESP. PhD by the College of Medicine, University of Sao Paulo (USP) and WHO/NIDA/CPDD International Fellow at the Departament of Neurology at The Johns Hopkins University, Baltimore, USA. He has been specialized in Health Psychology focused on Psychological and Neuropsychological Assessment, at the Psychology and Neuropsychology Unit, Institute of Psychiatry (IPq), Clinics Hospital (HC), USP and also specialized in Addiction by the Group of Studies on Alcohol and Drugs (GREA), IPq-HCFMUSP. Graduated in Psychology at the State University of São Paulo "Júlio de Mesquita Filho" (Unesp) (1994-1998), in this meantime, he gave his first steps in Science with finantial support by CNPq. His line of research has been focused on neuropsychological, clinical and neuroimaging aspects among patients with symptoms of impulsivity and abuse-related behaviors (i.e., substance-related disorders, obesity, among others); investigation and development of new treatment approaches to subjects diagnosed with addictive-related diseases. Member of the Society for Neuroscience (SfN) and the College on Problems of Drug Dependence (CPDD), USA. Currently, he has been working as Associate Researcher in the Laboratory of Neuroimaging (LIM-21), Institute of Psychiatry, USP, São Paulo, Brazil. (Source: Lattes Curriculum)
