Graduated in Physical Therapy from the Federal University of São Carlos in 1990, with a Masters degree in Bioengineering from the University of São Paulo in 1995 and a PhD in Oral Biology and Pathology from the State University of Campinas in 2000. I served as a professor in the Undergraduate Physical Therapy Program from 1992 to 2008 and in the Graduate Program in Physical Therapy at UNIMEP from 2002 to 2008. Between 1998 and 2012, I worked as an evaluator for SESU/INEP and the National Higher Education Evaluation System (BASis). I coordinated the Masters Program in Physical Therapy at UNIMEP from 2002 to 2008 and was an alternate board member of CREFITO-3/SP from 2004 to 2010. In 2005, I co-founded the Brazilian Association of Graduate Studies in Physical Therapy (ABRAPG-FT), where I later served as president from 2010 to 2012. I was co-editor of the journal Fisioterapia e Pesquisa from 2010 to 2019, assistant coordinator of the Professional Masters Program in Physical Education at CAPES from 2012 to 2013, and assistant coordinator of the Physical Education Area at CAPES from 2014 to 2017. From 2014 to 2018, I coordinated the Graduate Program in Rehabilitation and Functional Performance at FMRP/USP. I was vice president of the São Paulo regional chapter of the Brazilian Association of Orthopedic and Traumatological Physical Therapy (ABRAFITO-SP) from 2019 to 2021, vice coordinator of the Undergraduate Physical Therapy Program at FMRP/USP from 2021 to 2023, and currently serve as coordinator of the same program for the 20232025 term. I am currently Associate Professor III in the Undergraduate Physical Therapy Program (since 2008) and in the Graduate Program in Rehabilitation and Functional Performance at FMRP-USP (since 2012). I also serve as Coordinator of the Physical Education Area at CAPES (since 2018), Vice Tutor of the Multidisciplinary Cancer Care Residency Program at HC-FMRP/USP (since 2021), and alternate member of the National Council for Multidisciplinary Health Residencies (since 2024). I have extensive experience in Physical Therapy, with a focus on Musculoskeletal Physical Therapy and Electrophysical Agents, and I conduct research in the areas of Instrumentation and Physiotherapeutic Intervention.
