Bachelor's degree in Psychology from the University of São Paulo (1990), Master's degree (1994) and Ph.D. (1999) in Human Developmental Psychology from the University of Florida, Associate Professor at USP (2011). She is currently full professor at the School of Arts, Sciences and Humanities (EACH USP). She teaches and investigates topics related to the Psychology of Aging, such as: cognition and aging, memory, meta-memory, cognitive training, dementia, neuropsychology of aging. She has been the coordinator of the undergraduate bachelor course in Gerontology, (2009-2013), President of the Undergraduate Commission at EACH USP (2011-2013), Counselor at the State Council for the Elderly, representing the Higher Education Secretary (2009-2011), Member of the State Committee of Reference in the Health of the Elderly of the Health Department of the State of São Paulo, Dean of EACH USP (2018-2022). She is a research advisor of the Postgraduate Program in Gerontology at EACH USP and UNICAMP and in Neurology at the Faculty of Medicine of USP. She was responsible for the Thematic Project FAPESP 16/00084-8 "Follow-up study of the Campinas and Ermelino Matarazzo cohorts of the FIBRA study: predictors and outcomes of frailty in the elderly in Brazil". She is currently a member of the LatAm-FINGERS study, supported by the Alzheimers Association which brings together 12 countries. (Source: Lattes Curriculum)
