Cláudio Gonçalves Couto is a political scientist with a master's and doctorate from the University of São Paulo. He is an associate professor in the Department of Public Management at FGV EAESP. He teaches the Professional Master's in Management and Public Policy (MPGPP), which he directed during the quadrennium 2017-2021, as well as the undergraduate program in Public Administration and the academic graduate program (master's and doctorate) in Public Administration and Government. Still at FGV, he is a researcher at the Center for Public Sector Politics and Economics (CEPESP). He was assistant secretary and then executive secretary of ANPOCS (National Association of Graduate Studies in Social Sciences). He is a CNPq productivity fellow (level 1C) and edited the Youtube channel and Podcast #ForadaPolíticaNãoháSalvação.His research interests include Political Institutions, Constitutionalism and Democracy, Political Parties and Organizations, and Federalism.
