Italo Beltrão Sposito

Adjunct Professor and Chair of the Structuring Teaching Staff Core of the Bachelors Program in International Relations at the Federal University of Tocantins (UFT), Porto Nacional Campus (Full-time position - 40 hours). Researcher at the Center for International Studies and Analyses (NEAI-IPPRI/Unesp). I served as a visiting professor during a postdoctoral internship in the International Studies Program at the Faculty of Social Sciences, University of the Republic (UdelaR) (2019-2020). I hold a PhD in International Relations from the Institute of International Relations (IRI) at the University of São Paulo (USP), funded by FAPESP. I also obtained a Masters degree in International Relations from the same institute, FAPESP fellow. Additionally, I am a specialist in Latin American Integration from the Federal University of Paraná (UFPR). I hold a Bachelors degree in International Relations from São Paulo State University, Júlio de Mesquita Filho (UNESP), Franca Campus. I previously served as the Coordinator of the Bachelors Program in International Relations at UFT and was a member of both the Board of Directors and the Board of Education, Research, and Extension at UFT from 2016 to 2018. I also represented the Northern Region in the Coordinators Forum of the Brazilian Association of International Relations (ABRI) from 2017 to 2018. I have been serving as Chair of the Structuring Teaching Staff Core since 2022, with prior involvement from 2016 to 2019. Between 2012 and 2015, I was involved in international academic mobility and higher education internationalization projects at the Foreign Relations Office of UNESP. Currently, I am the Vice-Coordinator of the Thematic Area of Foreign Policy Analysis within ABRI. I also coordinate the Tocantins Core of PEIEX at ApexBrasil. Additionally, I serve on the Editorial Boards of IDESF Publishing House and the journal (Re)Definições de Fronteiras. My research interests include International Relations and Political Science, Foreign Policy Analysis, Comparative Foreign Policy, Research Methodologies, and studies on Latin America and the Caribbean.
