Degree in Orthoptics by the Federal University of São Paulo - Paulista School of Medicine (1997), which made undergraduate research on Binocular Vision in Visual Impairment Discipline, worked as a clinical orthoptist Department of Ophthalmology and Orthoptics AACD. He began his academic career doing a Masters in Neuroscience and Behavior from the University of São Paulo (2001) and a Ph.D. in Neuroscience and Behavior from the University of São Paulo (2004). Post-doctorate in Neurociêncas by the Institute of Biomedical Research on Light and Image (IBILI), University of Coimbra, Portugal. Obtained the title of Full Professor in the Department of Psychology and Sensory Perception in the Department of Experimental Psychology at the Institute of Psychology of the University of São Paulo (2012), becoming Associate Professor I. He is currently Associate Professor III, Department of Experimental Psychology at the Institute of Psychology of the University of São Paulo. Director of the CNPq's Research Group on Sensorial Psychophysiology (dgp.cnpq.br/dgp/espelhogrupo/2254437189869396). From April 2009 to April 2016 he was the Coordinator of the Graduate Program in Neuroscience and Behavior at the Institute of Psychology of the USP (Capes 5) plus also belonged to the framework guiding in the Post-Graduate Institute of Psychology Experimental Psychology USP (Capes 7). Scientific Societies has operated from 2010 to 2012 as Treasurer of the Brazilian Society for Research in Vision and Ophthalmology, which is a founding member and the actual Vice-President. He is a member of the editorial board and reviewer of articles in national and international journals including Psychology Neuroscience, Psychology USP, and Visual Neuroscience. Has experience of teaching and research in the fields of Psychophysics, Physiological Psychology, Psychology of Sensation and Perception, acting more directly on Sensory Psychophysiology ( emphasis on Development Functions Visual Basic sensory- perceptual and sensory scaling) and Neuroscience and Behavior (emphasis on system visual sensory and perceptual and psychophysiological development of perceptual processes). His research topics are Psychophysical Theoretical and Applied Clinical Electrophysiology of Vision, Color Perception, Spatial Vision, Visual Development Sensory, Neural Pathways, Subjects with Multiple Disabilities, and Visual Rehabilitation.
