Idiberto José Zotarelli Filho

I graduated from the Global Clinical Scholars Research Training Program in Medical Education at Harvard Medical School in the USA. I am a professor and researcher at UNESP-IBILCE in the postgraduate program in Food, Nutrition, and Food Engineering (research line: Food and Health). I am a professor and scientific coordinator at the Brazilian Association of Nutrology (ABRAN). I am an Honorary International Professor at the Faculty of Palliative Medicine of Sri Lanka. I hold a PhD and a Master's degree in Molecular Biophysics (Regenerative Medicine) from UNESP-São Paulo State University of São José do Rio Preto, São Paulo, Brazil. I am also pursuing a postdoctoral degree in advanced therapies for neurodegenerative diseases with microRNAs and exosomes from the Pelé Pequeno Príncipe Institute in Curitiba, Brazil. I also work in the area of regenerative medicine with stem cells and biomaterials. I am a guest editor of Frontiers in Neurosciences and Frontiers in Dementia. I serve as the primary reviewer for the International Journal of Surgery (Impact Factor = 15.5). I also serve as Editor-in-Chief of the International Journal of Nutrology (ABRAN's official journal) and the MedNEXT Journal of Medical and Health Sciences. I conduct public health research in various areas, including neurodegenerative diseases, cancer, obesity, cardiology, and nutrology. I also teach, research, and write in bariatric and metabolic surgery and bariatric endoscopy. I actively participate in experimental and clinical research across various specialties. I completed the clinical research, scientific writing, and statistical analysis programs at Duke University, USA. I received an International Award at the Fifth and Sixth World Congresses on Cellular and Stem Cell Therapy in Chicago and Philadelphia, USA, respectively. I work as Ambassador and Editor for Brazil at Bentham Science Publishers with more than 100 journals that are indexed in recognized indexing agencies, such as Journal Citation Reports/Science Edition, MEDLINE/Index Medicus, PubMed, Scopus, Chemical Abstracts, and EMBASE.
