Professor and Scientific Coordinator at the Brazilian Association of Nutrology - ABRAN. International Honorary Professor at the Faculty of Palliative Medicine of Sri Lanka. I also work in the area of #8203;#8203;research in Regenerative Medicine with Stem Cells and Biomaterials. Guest editor of Frontiers in Neurosciences (Impact Factor = 5.2). I act as the main reviewer of the International Journal of Surgery (Impact Factor = 15.5). I am Editor-in-Chief of the International Journal of Nutrology (ABRAN's official journal) and the MedNEXT Journal of Medical and Health Sciences. I have a postdoctoral degree in advanced therapies with microRNAs and exosomes. I work with public health research in several areas such as cancer, obesity, and nutrology. I work as a professor, researcher, and writer in the area of #8203;#8203;bariatric and metabolic surgery and bariatric endoscopy. I actively work in Experimental and Clinical Medical Research in several specialties. I attended the clinical research, scientific writing, and statistical treatment program at Duke University, USA. I received an International Award at the Fifth and Sixth World Congress on Cell Therapy and Stem Cells in Chicago and Philadelphia, USA, respectively. I work as Ambassador and Editor for Brazil at Bentham Science Publishers, with more than 100 journals that are indexed in recognized indexing agencies, such as Journal Citation Reports/Science Edition, MEDLINE/Index Medicus, PubMed, Scopus, Chemical Abstracts, and EMBASE.
