Professor in the Department and the Postgraduate Program in Sociology at the Federal University of São Carlos. Holds a PhD in Sociology from UFSCar, with doctoral internships at Goldsmiths College - University of London and Conservatoire National des Arts et Métiers (Cnam) - Paris; worked as an International Fellow at the Center for Latin American Studies (CLAS) at the University of Chicago, with support from the Urban Studies Foundation. Researches at the intersection of Urban Studies and Sociology of Work, with a focus on informalities, work culture, and popular economies.
