He holds a BS in Physics from Universidade Estadual Paulista - UNESP (1995), a Master's and a PhD in Meteorology from the National Institute for Space Research - INPE (1999 and 2004, respectively). He has experience in the field of Geosciences, with emphasis on Meteorology by Satellites, acting mainly on the following topics: atmospheric sounding, monitoring of atmospheric air quality, climate and health, use of multispectral sensors for the inference of atmospheric profiles and monitoring of gas concentration trace and greenhouse effect (CO, CH4, O3, CO2, others). Member of the Scientific Committee of the ATTO Observatory (Amazon Tall Tower Observatory). He is currently a professor / researcher in the Meteorology course at the State University of Amazonas (UEA), also serving as a professor in the Postgraduate Course in Climate and Environment (CLIAMB / UEA-INPA). In addition, he coordinated the Institutional Project Management for two and a half years, together with the Dean of Research and Graduate Studies at UEA (PROPESP). He was president of the Curator Council of the Universitas Foundation for Amazonian Studies (FUEA) from 2017-2020. Currently, he has been working on projects in the area of #8203;#8203;climate variability, biomass burning (fires) and their impacts on the quality of atmospheric air (atmosphere chemistry).
