Graduated in Pharmaceutical Biochemistry from the Ribeirão Preto School of Pharmaceutical Sciences (FCFRP-USP).Earned a Masters in Basic and Applied Immunology and a PhD from the Department of Medical Clinic at the Ribeirão Preto School of Medicine (FMRP-USP). Completed postdoctoral research at the Department of Medical Clinic, FMRP-USP. Currently, she is a Scientific and Technological Researcher at the Blood Center of Ribeirão Preto. She is the Supervisor of the Molecular Biology Branch at the Blood Center of Ribeirão Preto and the Technical Manager of the Advanced Molecular Biology Laboratory. She has extensive experience in Virology, Immunology, Genetics, and Molecular Biology, with a focus on infectious diseases impacting cell therapy and the molecular characterization of emerging viral infections. Her research includes basic studies on the biology of stem cells and the cellular components of the hematopoietic niche in sickle cell disease. She also has expertise in quality control for molecular tests and in the development of molecular platforms for diagnostic purposes. She serves as Principal Investigator at the Center for Viral Surveillance and Serological Evaluation (CeViVas/FAPESP). She is an active member of several international organizations, including the Transfusion Transmitted Infectious Diseases Working Party of the International Society of Blood Transfusion (ISBT), the Advisory Board of the European Global Health Research Institutes Network (EGHRIN), and the Associação Brasileira de Hematologia, Hemoterapia e Terapia Celular (ABHH) and International Society of Blood Transfusion (ISBT). She is also a member of the Executive Secretariat Animal/Human Sector of the National Technical Biosafety Commission (CTNBio), linked to the Ministry of Science, Technology, and Innovations.
