She has a degree in Mathematics from the Pontífícia Universidade Católica of Campinas (1975), a Master's degree in Education from the Universidade Estadual de Campinas (1994) and a PhD in Education from the Universidade Estadual de Campinas (2000). She did a post-doctoral internship at UFRN's PPGE in the field of biographical studies, under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Maria da Conceição Passeggi. She is a profesor at the Universidade São Francisco, Itatiba campus, in the Stricto Sensu Postgraduate Program in Education (research line Teacher education, teaching work and educational practices) and in the Pedagogy course. She is currently coordinator of the Postgraduate Program (2024-2025). She is section editor of the journal Horizontes (from 2024). She has held positions such as: coordinator of the USF Postgraduate Program (2004-2006); coordinator of a USF/FAE Minter Program (2006-2008); coordinator of the USF Scientific Initiation Program (2010-2011); coordinator of WG7 Teacher Training/SBEM (2003-2006); coordinator of WG19 Mathematics Education/Anped (2008-2009); member of Anped's scientific committee (2011-2015); editor of Horizontes periodic (2015-2024). She has experience in the field of Education, working mainly on the following subjects: mathematics education, teacher training, pedagogical practice and (auto)biographical narratives. She is the leader of the research groups: Grupo Colaborativo em Matemática (Grucomat) and Histórias de Formação de Professores que Ensinam Matemática (HIFOPEM).
