Anete Pereira de Souza

Anete Pereira de Souza completed a course in Agronomic Engineering at ESALQ / USP in 1984 and a doctorate in Cellular and Molecular Biology - Universite de Paris XI (Paris-Sud) in 1992. She is currently Full Professor at the Department of Plant Biology at the State University of Campinas, in the area of Plant Genetics. For the past 28 years, she has been teaching, researching and training undergraduate and graduate students at the University of Campinas. She also supervised several undergraduates, postgraduates and young researchers (postdoctoral) and coordinated different scientific projects. Her main area of research is genetic variation in plants and fungi: molecular breeding, plant biotechnology, plant breeding, genetics and genomics of plants and fungi, bioinformatics and enzyme biotechnology.
