Birthplace: Brazil

Graduated in Biological Sciences from São Paulo State University (UNESP Jaboticabal Campus), with a study period at the University of Santiago de Compostela (Spain). Holds a M.Sc. (2015) and Ph.D. (2018) in Aquaculture and Aquatic Biology from the Aquaculture Center of UNESP (CAUNESP), and completed a postdoctoral fellowship in Animal Reproduction at the University of São Paulo (USP). Currently serves as Professor at the Federal Rural University of Pernambuco (UFRPE), Serra Talhada Academic Unit, where he also held the position of Deputy Coordinator of the Graduate Program in Biodiversity and Conservation (20232025). In addition, acts as a Volunteer Researcher at the National Center for Research and Conservation of Continental Aquatic Biodiversity (CEPTA/ICMBio). Research activities focus on biotechnology applied to aquaculture, including artificial reproduction of migratory fish, production of fish in intensive systems (RAS and BFT), conservation of endangered species, establishment of genetic repositories, cryopreservation of gametes, chromosomal manipulation, genotypic and phenotypic sex manipulation, embryonic development, and flow cytometry.
