Abstract

ABSTRACT It were investigated indicators of prosocial behavior in sheltered adolescents. Participated in the study 61 adolescents (ages 11-18; 34 girls and 27 boys), who lived in shelters and were evaluated by the Measurement Scale Pro-Sociality (EMPA). The analysis of the results considered subgroups of age (11-14/15-18) and sex, as also how long they lived in a shelter (until two years and more than two years). Findings indicated a tendency to prosocial behaviors of care, shown mainly in adolescents who lived a shorter period in shelters. Girls reported more prosocial behavior than boys. Participants indicated tendency to difficulty of empathy and sharing valuable and personal objects. (AU)
