| Abstract | |
The channel allocation in a long-haul C+L optical link supported by a parallel EDFA-based amplification subsystem is comparatively analyzed for 80 channels allocated on C, L, or C+L optical band. The achieved results indicate gains on employing a less dense channel grid fully occupying the C+L band, resulting in a reduction of linear and nonlinear impairments. (AU) | |
