| Abstract | |
In the early 1980s, G. Kennedy introduced the notion of the Milnor defect and utilized it to establish an integral formula for the Euler-Poincare characteristic of the Milnor fiber for hypersurfaces that feature an isolated singularity. In this current research, we establish a connection between the Milnor defect and a certain type of contact fiber that emerges from the seminal work of R. Thom. This paper is in honor of Maria Aparecida Soares Ruas, commemorating her 75th birthday. (AU) | |
