Abstract

Successful design projects require the involvement of stakeholders to adequately capture their needs, desires and objectives. However, literature lacks studies and open software platforms to support in this task to help solve wide-ranging design problems. In this paper, we explore user stories articulated with Socially-aware Design artifacts for the ideation and construction of the OpenDesign platform. We present how the platform was conceptualized and its key features obtained. Our study explored participatory practices in the elaboration of user stories and involved stakeholders for achieving problem clarification in a Socially-aware Design perspective. Our results illustrate the developed platform to support open design processes. (AU)
