Abstract

This work presents a quasi-static analysis of an x-cut Mach-Zehnder-like modulator which includes a set of floating electrodes. The results are compared to the ones obtained for a modulator of conventional electrode configuration. The electrooptic modulators were analyzed by using the finite element method. The numerical results complement information presented previously in literature. (AU)
