Resumo

Os processos de inibição de dor, durante e após crises epilépticas têm sido muito pouco estudados e mal compreendidos. Recentes e inéditos achados em nosso laboratório mostraram evidências do envolvimento de circuitos serotoninérgicos, opióides e colinérgicos nesse processo antinociceptivo. O propósito do presente projeto de iniciação científica, consiste em dar um passo adicional nesse estudo, investigando quais os subtipos de receptores opióides, serotoninérgicos e colinérgicos que se encontram envolvidos nas diferentes fases da analgesia pós-ictal. Acreditamos que a presente investigação poderá oferecer uma compreensão mais aprofundada da geração e elaboração dos processos antinociceptivos e da epilepsia, ao estudar o envolvimento de neurotransmissores e de subtipos de receptores farmacológicos que se apresentam envolvidos nesse fenômeno.
