Abstract

The present proposal aims to go over the activities to be developed in the 21-25 May 2018, referring to the FAPESP/CONFAP call whose objective is to bring to Brazil researchers based in Universities in the United Kingdom. The proposal is based on the Research Mobility modality and the permanence of the researchers from the UK will be of seven days. The reason to respond to this specific call is my participation in a workshop, after an invitation from the White Rose University Consortium - University of Sheffield, University of Leeds and University of York, all based in the United Kingdom. The workshop took place on October 17 and 18, 2017, and was entitled "International Workshop on Microbial Pollution in Water Sources under Extreme Weather Events". The objective of this proposal is to count on the expertise of Dr Isabel Douterelo Soler and of Professor Miller Alonso Camargo-Valero, which are involved in this project and will both, surely, contribute to improve strategies and gain insights on how to safeguard water quality and safety. A reunion like the one being proposed will be a great space to gain insights and share experiences that turn into action guidelines that could be translated into strategies to build resilience. (AU)
