Abstract

After the movement of national states reform, the idea of commodification of education is reinforced as a result of the structural crisis of capitalism that began in the 1970s. This process directly influenced education, especially the appreciation of its international dimension. The professional and technological education that over time its history has gone through successive transformations seeks to integrate to the new context of internationalization of education. Considering the complexity of this scenario, the role of professional and technological education and its contradictions inherent in public and educational policies aimed at the internationalization of education has been questioned and what are the modes of regulation, trends in construction, limits and possibilities of these policies in relation to conceptions and practices of teaching, research and extension in professionalization? The present project consists of a research proposal that intends to analyze how the technological education policy have been configured considering the conceptions and practices of the public institutions of technical and technological education in the context of internationalization, including the implications in teaching, research and extension promoted by them aiming the professionalization. The work plan includes systematization of the literature on education and work and internationalization of education, analysis of documents of previously selected institutions, and the use of interviews with those involved in the international agreements of these institutions.
