Abstract

With the growing concern for the environment and the need to destine waste generated in chemical processes, the concept of green chemistry has emerged, defined mainly by the development and application of alternative products and technology in processes to reduce or eliminate the use or generation of substances harmful to human health and the environment Based on this concept, technologies and alternative methods that meet the demand of sustainable chemistry have been widely explored. This is also valid for the sample preparation techniques, which are often required in steps prior to the chemical analysis, guaranteeing better execution of the same. The preparation of the sample is aimed at the selective isolation of the analytes and the elimination of most of the interferents in the sample matrix, in addition to concentrating the analytes when necessary, especially those present in low concentrations. The present project is focused on the development of clean and highly sensitive technologies for analysis of toxic analytes (pesticides and / or emerging pollutants) in food samples. For this purpose, different sample preparation based on liquid-liquid (LLE-LPT; DLLME-SFOD) and solid-liquid extraction (DPX; fluidized bed in a flow analysis system) will be evaluated. Waste generated will be degraded and toxicity will be assessed prior to disposal. (AU)
