Fungal receptor-mediated glucose sensing regulates light-dependent development and toxin production

Abstract

A previous A. nidulans genome-wide transcriptomic study showed that three fungal GPCRs, namely gprH, gprI and gprM, were induced during carbon starvation. Consequently, we hypothesize that these three receptors represent a nutrient sensing mechanism that is activated during carbon starvation. (AU)
