Abstract

This project is based on the inclusion paradigm. It asks, concerning the challenges of the special education in Brazilian Basic Education transversality: How can universal design for learning qualify the experiences of ongoing inclusive special education in schools? Its object is to study the inclusive experiences in progress in schools in the region of great ABC in São Paulo and the learning objects used by teachers in Elementary School. The hypothesis of this research is that the universal design for learning (CAST, 2018) can qualify the processes of building of inclusive school, as it demands the overcoming of monocultures and the emergence of multiple languages and cultures in school institutions. As for the method, this project is characterized as an empirical investigation, based on the procedures of a development research (analysis, evaluation and validation), following a Design Based Research (DRB). In this sense, we will work with an applied research, of an interventionist nature, where the epistemological interests will focus on the inclusive pedagogical experience in schools. (AU)
