Annual plan of application of the research contingency funds for institutional research infrastructure.

Abstract

In Brazil, research in Physical Education was structured from the 1980s, currently having more than two dozen Masters and Doctorate courses and a growing national and international scientific production. In this process, UNICAMP was a protagonist in the creation and consolidation of Postgraduate programs in Physical Education, being the program of the Faculty of Physical Education - FEF-UNICAMP one of the most important and of greatest impact in the area. In order to broaden its participation in this scenario and optimize the use of spaces and equipment, in 2011 the ETF created the Integrated Laboratory for Research, Teaching and Extension in Physical Education (LABFEF). This is a multi-user laboratory that serves all faculty, researchers and postgraduate and undergraduate students from the faculty and other units, as well as agreements with national and international institutions congregating in research, teaching and extension activities, with various funding. The current stage of development of the area of Physical Education requires adequate means and properly equipped spaces so that actions can be developed, in the form of studies and research, to maintain and raise the status achieved by the ETF. In this sense, LABFEF is a priority for the unit and an example of collaborative, multidisciplinary, thematic and therefore multi-user work. From its inception until the first half of 2019, approximately 200 research projects were carried out in the FEF's different areas of concentration, resulting in several publications and even a patent. In addition, the ETF is establishing the Integrative Exercise Biology Laboratory - LABIEX. This laboratory will conduct research on the acute and chronic effects of exercise initially on patients with noncommunicable chronic diseases, specifically cardiovascular diseases; but will not be restricted to this population. The research carried out involves biochemical and molecular analyzes, which may be affected by the ambient temperature. To do so, you need air-conditioned rooms. Therefore, the resources of the Institutional Infrastructure Technical Reserve will be used to provide the appropriate infrastructure for qualitative and experimental research, creating an enabling environment for collaboration between researchers and the completion of their projects, thus aiming at developing a research atmosphere for the Programs. , Departments and Institution.
