Abstract
This project focus on the secondary technical-professionals' training in health in the state of São Paulo, considering the number of technical workers in healthcare in the context of the Unified Health System.Our goals are to identify and analyze the purposes, guidelines, conceptions and pedagogical practices that have been guiding the proposals of technical secondary education in healthcare in the state of São Paulo, relating them to health and education policies, especially those of professional education, considering the qualification for Unified Health System, and in critical perspective; to bound weaknesses and potentialities that may have implications in the transformation of secondary technical-professionals' training in health for SUS, bringing contributions to the discussions and decisions about this qualification in the state. The project will involve public and private institutions, institutions from the Paula Souza Center, Unified Health System Technical Schools, SENAC and other private schools. The data will be collected by the means of: analysis of management, institutional and pedagogical projects, observation of the physical structure of the schools, questionnaire for access to teachers, interviews with coordinators, and interviews or focus groups with teachers. This project will produce knowledge that reveal weaknesses and potentialities that may have implications for the transformation of secondary technical-professionals' training in health for SUS, contributing to the discussions and decisions about the qualification policies of these workers in the scope of the state of Sao Paulo.
