Abstract

The 940 Professional IC Vario ONE/HPG is an Ion Chromatograph that can be used with different separation and detection methods for carbohydrate analyzes. It is equipped with an amperometric detector with selectivity for four measuring modes: DC, PAD, flexIPAD and CV. The autosampler enables high sample throughput and precise injection. It is suited for routine analysis of carbohydrates and their derivatives. It can efficiently detect and quantify sugars such as monosaccharides, oligosaccharides, and polysaccharides, sugar alcohols (polyols, glycols, etc), amino sugars (aminoglucose, galactosamine, etc), saccharic acids (glucuronic acid, gluconic acid, etc). It has different applications in life sciences and can be used to analyze carbohydrates from a variety of samples. The equipment will be used by professors, researchers, employees, post-graduate and undergraduate students from Institute of Botany and other research institutions. In our institution, the equipment will be widely used in analyzes related to the PDIP project (process 2017/50341-0). (AU)
