Abstract
In order to strategically strengthen the research activities of our University and based on the guidelines established by FAPESP for the use of the Institutional Technical Reserve resources, this Application Plan aims, above all, to recover, consolidate and expand the infrastructure for research on the various Campi of UNIFESP, with emphasis on the maintenance and expansion of strategic multi-user laboratories for institutional research. The multi and interdisciplinary projects were prioritized, always focusing on quality and potential for technological innovation, internationalization and application of results to society. We emphasize that the planning process for the allocation of RTI resources was carried out with the active participation of the Post-Graduation and Research Chambers of UNIFESP (Baixada Santista, Diadema, Guarulhos, São José dos Campos, São Paulo) in the light of the UNIFESP Institutional Development Plan (PDI 2016-2020). Thus, we understand that sharing this prioritization process with each University Unit aims to bring transparency, agility, accountability and effectiveness to the use of resources in the most appropriate way possible. RTI-FAPESP will be designed to consolidate research activities in the institution's existing and traditional areas, as well as to encourage their development in the newer areas of knowledge at UNIFESP, resulting from the university expansion process. In recent years, the use of RTI to support UNIFESP's collective research infrastructure has been instrumental in the consolidation of several research laboratories and buildings, as well as the improvement of the quality of central vivarium, the acquisition of equipment and materials for research multi-user platforms, essential for the consolidation of multi-user laboratories.
