Abstract

This Multi-Device Equipment project aims to replace a fentosecond LASER with a power of 10 W in a THz Spectrophotometer in the time domain. This equipment was acquired in the thematic project financed by FAPESP, process 2011 / 13777-8. The equipment's original LASER no longer has sufficient power and stability so that the spectrophotometer can operate in conditions to provide reliable data. The maintenance of the LASER was performed annually online by the manufacturer (Laser Quantum, England). In the last maintenance, the manufacturer informed that it was no longer possible to adjust the necessary power to 10 W, which prevents the spectrophotometer from working correctly. In addition, a lack of Laser stability was also observed, which is extremely important for spectrophotometers that operate in the time domain. Although the Laser is being purchased, this is an component of the THz Spectrophotometer that will thereafter be referred to as the multiuser equipment. (AU)
