Abstract

Chemical and photochemical processes including catalytic organic reactions (Knoevenagel amino-catalysis, Debus-Radziszewski acid catalysis and Suzuki-Miyaura palladium catalysis) forming fluorescent dyes are investigated in mesoscopic, nanoscopic and single molecule level by using advanced super-resolution optical microscopy combined with stochastic analysis time-series of the observed fluorescence intermittency. Those chemical reactions and products will be used to chemically modify carbon nano-hybrids such as graphene and reduced graphene oxide, as well as thin films and quantum wells of perovskites. Their excited state dynamics and spectroscopy leading to photoinduced charge separation will be investigated and optimized, owing their possible applications in optical and photochemical devices including photovoltaic solar cells and photocatalysts.
