Abstract

This project aims to develop a platform in biotelemetry and telemetry based on mHealth to promote hybrid prenatal care for pregnant women at risk or with hypertensive states. Hypertensive complications in pregnancy are the major cause of maternal-fetal morbidity and mortality in developing countries, accounting for 10% to 15% of direct maternal deaths. Initially, risk screening for hypertensive disorders during pregnancy will be performed based on anamnesis, physical examination and laboratory results including imaging tests. The analysis of these data, together with those obtained by mHealth, will allow pregnant women to be classified according to the level of risk established for hypertensive disorders of pregnancy and, therefore, forward them to the respective protocols, which will be evaluated by a system of teletriagem that will lead the pregnant woman to different levels of care (distance guidance, in-person outpatient care and, eventually, hospital care) always returning to teletriaging, in order to be followed up until the puerperium. The purpose is to develop a digital risk identification strategy for hypertensive disorders of pregnancy, associated with a telemonitoring and hybrid care system, providing better assistance to maternal-fetal health with an impact on reducing maternal-fetal morbidity and mortality. The work is innovative, as it provides continuous monitoring of the pregnant woman, improving the quality of her care and providing greater autonomy of care and understanding of her health condition, thus being aligned with the most modern concepts of individual health care, that is that is, "Value-based care" and "Concierge Medicine".
