Abstract

In the context of Smart Cities, those in which decisions are made based on data, it is essential to develop public policies based on scientific evidence. For this, scientific and technological research is carried out through software tools, among other technologies. However, just the installation of sensors and cameras, as well as the collection and storage of a large volume of data, are not enough, and tools that allow the visualization and analysis of this information are needed to support public managers in making decisions quickly and with based on evidence, aiming at efficient and conscientious management of public resources. The main objective of this Project is the development of an online tool for exploring different databases interactively and visually to support the development of public policies in the context, mainly of education. For the development of this tool, a Design Science Research approach will be used. This approach seeks to solve a practical problem in a specific context through an artifact and generate new scientific knowledge. This tool will consist of an online platform, having as its starting point the Portal CulturaEduca to integrate different databases and process information in order to support evidence-based public educational policies.
